Obama Is My President

We now have a new leader.  Senator President-Elect Obama has taken the reins of the country!  While I wait for him to come and give his acceptance speech, I have shivers down my pine to think that the United States of America has just elected its first African-American commander in chief. 

That book on social welfare and race relations I read as an undergrad, well, the slow process of changing its content has (hopefully) begun!

This doesn’t mean that things will change overnight.  There will be challenges.  It will take a few generations.  But a new journey has been started today, one that will develop over the next 4, 10, 50 and 100 years!  Here we go….
